has been adopted as a medium more recently. Video art and animations combine skills I already have acquired, give life and motion to my art. Sound plays a large role in visualizing and creating content as such.
RED OCTOBER
VIDEO ART- COLOR MANIPULATION/CORRECTION
The inspiration for this piece for comes from an often dark feelings towards the future younger generations and I tend to feel. The unstable climate crisis, economic troubles, and a global battling of power and dominance all loam over the thoughts of what is to come. This video is composed of founded footage and field recordings mixed in with a manipulated sample. The internet archive is home to many old documentary style videos that provide endless content. I came up with the idea of editing and building the visuals around the sound and was very pleased with the results.

This piece is narrated by my mother who tells the story of ingesting acid by accident as a young child because her irresponsible biological father. The experience had a profound impact on her life and the story always shocked me. Never having utilized narration, I then decided that this story could be the foundation for a video piece.

This piece was an experimental piece done for an art class. There is no real narrative but it was a great opportunity to experiment with the effects in Adobe Premiere. In doing this it led to much inspiration for futures video
