Back story
While traveling in Japan and soaking in the culture, I had this idea to do a series of drawings. Being a foreigner and someone new to such a unique country, I became intrigued by the differences that set certain cities and locations apart from one another. Spending a majority of my time in Tokyo, I was able to pick up on theses details. One of these distinctions being the sushi and the fish markets. While eating dinner in Kyoto, the sushi chef asked why we are eating here and not in Tokyo. This sparked the idea and I started to visualize a graphic that revolved around food while combining other elements of the city, such as the density, public transport and more.

Under the name One Eleven, I had previously printed and sold my art mostly on apparel. For this batch, I had decided that I wanted to take it to another level by printing and designing the packaging as well as documenting the end results. The whole process was done by silkscreen printing.
Back story
The card game Forward or also known as 13 was taught to me some years ago and persists as the preferred game to play amongst my friends and I. The objective of the game is to get rid of your cards first while playing in sequence of what has been put down. One unique thing about this game is that the number 2 is the highest card. I had schemed on doing some art for it through the years but decided to make this graphic as a tribute to the all powerful card, two.
